We've developed this site and foundation to help families facing the diagnosis of a Congenital Heart Defect. We were thrust into the world of CHDs with our second child, Ellianna. We know how challenging the hospital stays, medical co-pays, missed work, and travel expense can be. In Ellie's life, traveling to Boston for an in-utero fetal intervention prevented the progression of a serious CHD, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. We are so grateful we had the resources to make this trip. We want to make it possible for others to have the same. In addition, we continue to strive to provide invaluable parent-to-parent connections for learning, encouraging, and support during the ups and downs of caring for a child with a serious CHD.
