Congenital Heart Defects are the most common of all birth defects. That means they are THE #1 Birth Defect in the United States and the World! Nearly 1 in 100 children will be born with a Congenital Heart Defect. Children are living longer into adulthood with their heart defects because great cardiac care is more widely available and because we are learning more each year about how to care for children with CHD. Our kids with CHD face many challenges, but they are resilient and strong. Here are some of our Fetal Cardiac Intervention Graduates who have defied the odds! They keep us inspired and on our toes!
